Lecturer Positions in Yachay Tech, Ecuador
The school of Physical sciences and Engineering at Yachay Tech has open positions for postdoctoral researchers.  Scientists holding a PhD (or equivalent degree) with background in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related subjects (experimental and theoretical) are welcome to apply.  Applicants with a strong record of international publications are especially encouraged to apply. 
Yachay Tech is the unique research oriented university in Ecuador. It was inaugurated in March 2014, expecting to be a Think Tank for the project “Yachay City of Knowledge”. It is a research-intensive and inspiring project that aims at changing the productive matrix of a whole country, having important influence in the north Andean region of South America. Applicants should expect to be holding a lecturer position with a minimum of 6 (maximum 12) teaching hours. A perfect command of the English language is a pre-requisite to Work at Yachay Tech. After undergraduate common core courses taught in Spanish, the students enter a career program entirely taught in English, which is also required for the research environment.  The School of Physical Sciences and Nanotechnology at Yachay Tech expects that postdoc/lecturers conduct research in cooperation with tenure track and tenured faculty members of the School. Currently in Physics we span a wide range of disciplines that include experimental and theoretical Astroparticle Physics, Nonlinear Science, and Condensed Matter Physics, among others. Nanotechnology related areas are focused on Materials and Nanobiotechnology.
