The particle cosmology group at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) invites applications for up to two postdoctoral positions to start in the fall of 2017. Successful applicants will join an exciting group working with Dr. Yi-Fu Cai, Dr. Wen Zhao as well as extensively interact with other groups exploring the topics of large scale structure, galaxy formation and evolution, active galaxies, stellar astrophysics, high energy astrophysics and observational cosmology. We have strong ties to the theoretical/particle physics groups.
Candidates in the following fields are preferred, but any outstanding experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Areas of interest include:
1) CMB data analysis/simulations;
2) early universe models and perturbation theory;
3) primordial gravitational waves;

The appointment is awarded for two years and could be extended for up to 6 additional years (with a title of non-tenure research associate professor) contingent on performance and funding. Promotions to tenure positions (full professor, associate professor) are also expected for candidates with outstanding performance.
