The group ANTARES/KM3NeT at IFIC (Valencia, Spain) offers a 2-year postdoc position to work in the KM3NeT neutrino telescope ( The main goal of the position is to contribute to the search for dark matter with both the ORCA and ARCA configurations of KM3NeT. Other complementary tasks are the participation in the outreach and in the open data access programs.

IFIC (Instituto de Fisica Corpuscular, is the largest particle physics research center in Spain and has been recently recognized by the Program "Severo Ochoa Centres of Excellence".

The ANTARES-KM3NeT group at IFIC has a long experience in both experiments, located in the Mediterranean Sea. ANTARES has successfully shown the feasibility of the undersea water Cherenkov technique with a rich harvest of scientific results. The IFIC group has led the analyses on dark matter in ANTARES. KM3NeT is being deployed and will mean a tremendous step forward in neutrino astronomy. The search for dark matter is one of main goals of the experiment. Neutrino telescopes, and KM3NeT in particular, have specifc advantages compared to other searches and could provide the first evidence leading to its discovery.

The successful candidate is expected to join the group by Fall of 2017. Excellent scientific track, high motivation and good computing skills are required. Experience in the field of dark matter will be an asset.

A CV and two reference letters should be sent to "".
Application deadline: 7-7-2017.
